In October 2024 Vision To Learn launched a dedicated clinic serving Cleveland and Lorain County students by providing 40 students at Northwood Middle School with new eyeglasses. With the support of Ford Philanthropy, 15,000 Cleveland and Lorain County students will be provided with vision care, including 5,000 with eye exams and over 4,000 with new prescription glasses – at no cost to students or their families.
Additionally in partnership with Kaulig Giving and the Cavaliers Community Foundation, Vision To Learn will provide 1,200 Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) students with vision care, including 400 with eye exams and over 320 with new prescription glasses.
Northeast OH began exams in April of 2024 within Cuyahoga County with Cleveland Heights-University Heights City Schools. This launch began with Oxford Elementary School where students were presented with their glasses at a glasses celebration.
In its first six months, Vision To Learn’s program in Northeast Ohio has provided over 1,100 eye exams and nearly 1,000 pairs of glasses to students in Cleveland and Lorain County.
