Vision To Learn has been selected by the Ohio Department of Health as a provider in the state’s new Ohio Student Eye Exam (OhioSEE) program, a major statewide initiative designed to expand access to vision care for young students.
Launched as part of Ohio’s state budget, OhioSEE focuses on students in kindergarten through third grade in high-need counties, where many children who fail vision screenings never receive follow-up care. Through this program, Vision To Learn will deliver comprehensive eye exams and glasses directly in schools, removing common barriers such as cost, transportation, and limited access to providers.

Vision To Learn was awarded approximately $1.7 million to support mobile vision services and in-school care delivery across participating regions. The program will operate in 15 high-need counties across Ohio, bringing services directly to students where they are each day.
OhioSEE is expected to serve thousands of students annually and is designed to ensure children receive timely vision care during the early years when clear sight is critical to learning and reading development.
This award represents a significant step forward in expanding Vision To Learn’s reach in Ohio and reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that students have the vision care they need to succeed in school.
