In May 2016, Vision To Learn launched a program that will serve every student in need in the Baltimore City Public School System, kindergarten through 8th grade, over three years. As a result, over 8,000 children will receive glasses. Vision To Learn developed this program in close partnership with the Baltimore City Health Department, which is responsible for vision screening students in BCPSS, and the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University, which has agreed to perform an in-depth research study analyzing the program. Warby Parker donates all the glasses provided to students as part of this project.
The program is supported by generous funding from Congressman John K. Delaney and April McClain-Delaney, Capitol Source Foundation, the Abell Foundation, and the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation.
