Baltimore City Public School students who did not pass this year’s school-based vision screening may make an appointment to get their eyes examined this summer by nonprofit provider Vision To Learn.
Parents/Guardians: Please consult the calendar of service dates and locations below, and contact Brandi Stephens, bstephens@visiontolearn.org to schedule an appointment date and time.
No-cost eye exams are available, first-come, first-served, to any BCPS student who was referred by a Baltimore City Health Department vision screening in the 2022-23 school year, if they did not already receive an eye exam at school. Incoming 9th graders may be provided an eye exam if referred by a vision screening in 8th grade. Parents/Guardians must provide transportation to the exam site and sign a consent form authorizing the eye exam.
Students need not be regular attendees at Boys & Girls Clubs, summer library programs, or other sites to receive service.
Note: dates and locations are subject to change.
